Total Training Hours
Before entering this pathway, each candidate must complete an English proficiency assessment administered by JEB Training Center. Candidates who successfully meet the required English level may qualify for the accelerated program.
First 3 Months – Professional Transportation English
Qualified candidates complete approximately three months of intensive Professional Transportation English, totaling approximately 240 instructional hours.
The course focuses on the terminology, communication skills, safety language, and professional English required for the U.S. transportation industry.
Following 9 Months – CDL Preparation Program
After successfully completing the Professional Transportation English portion, candidates begin approximately nine months of intensive CDL preparation, totaling approximately 720 instructional and practical training hours, including behind-the-wheel training.
The CDL preparation program includes the required theoretical instruction, practical training, vehicle familiarization, safety procedures, compliance training, and behind-the-wheel driving preparation.
The 12-month timeframe is an estimated training pathway and depends on each candidate’s individual ability, progress, attendance, discipline, and successful completion of all required courses and evaluations.
Candidates must demonstrate full competency in all required areas, including:
- Pre-trip inspection
- Safety procedures
- Vehicle systems
- Air brake systems
- Behind-the-wheel driving skills
- Vehicle control and maneuvering
- U.S. transportation compliance requirements
- Other required CDL-related knowledge and practical competencies
Candidates who require additional instruction, training, driving practice, or preparation may need more than 12 months to successfully complete all program requirements.
Tuition and Fees
The tuition for the One-Year Accelerated CDL Training Pathway remains the same as the standard program.
However, candidates who qualify for and successfully enter the accelerated one-year pathway will not be required to pay the separate second-year academic fee normally due in July. This second-year fee is waived for candidates enrolled in the accelerated pathway.
All other applicable tuition, enrollment, training, administrative, and program fees remain unchanged in accordance with the candidate’s enrollment agreement.
Important Information About the EB-3 Process
The training timeline and the EB-3 immigration process are separate processes.
Candidates entering the program complete the required employment and sponsorship arrangements with a participating U.S. transportation or logistics company in accordance with the applicable program requirements.
The EB-3 process may take longer than 12 months and is subject to processing by the sponsoring employer, immigration professionals, U.S. government agencies, visa availability, and the U.S. Consulate.
This means that a candidate may successfully complete the one-year training program before the immigration process is fully finalized.
In that situation, the candidate may be required to wait until all remaining immigration requirements have been completed, including applicable U.S. government processing, visa availability, and the required U.S. Consulate interview, before traveling to the United States.
Completion of the training program does not determine or guarantee the timing of visa issuance. Immigration processing times can vary from one candidate to another.
